Pramod Garg
Prof. Pramod Garg is currently the Chair of the Department of Gastroenterology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He is an internationally recognised physician-scientist with seminal research contributions in the field of pancreatic diseases. He has published >250 original articles, including several seminal papers in prestigious international journals such as JAMA, Lancet Infectious Diseases, Lancet Gastro Hep, Annals of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Gut, with an h-index of 62 and >33000 citations. His major contribution has been in understanding the pathophysiology and management of acute and chronic pancreatitis. He is a fellow of all 4 national science societies: Indian National Science Academy (FNA), Indian Academy of Sciences (FASc), National Academy of Sciences (FNASc), National Academy of Medical Sciences (FAMS) and also Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) (Glasg). At present, he is President-Elect of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology and Vice-President of the Indian Pancreas Club. He is the ‘Editor-in-Chief’ of ‘Pancreatology’.
